Drakes Broughton Play Area
After a £200,000 revamp in 2020, Drakes Broughton Play Area near Pershore) has plenty to keep everyone entertained! There is a separate, enclosed toddler area, containing smaller, more manageable play equipment. There is also plenty for older children to do in the main play area, with sides, climbing frames and a zip wire on offer, amongst other equipment (see photos for more examples).
There are picnic tables next to the play equipment and there is also a large playing field which is perfect for picnics, ball games and gymnastics!
Parking? Yes. There is a free, medium sized car park next to the play area, at the village hall.
Toilets? No. There are no public toilets and the village hall toilets are for use by those hiring the hall only. The nearest public toilets are a 5 minute drive away at Abbey Park in Pershore.
Refreshments? There is no cafe on site, but an ice cream van visits from time to time during the spring and summer months. There is a fish and chip shop and a small supermarket approximately 5 minutes walk away on Shrubbery Road.
